Bogstad Visitor Farm

The farm has a diverse livestock population including cattle, horses, sheep, goats, rabbits, turkeys, and chickens. We cultivate grass for animal feed, oats, wheat, and potatoes.

The farming is organic and certified by Debio, and operated by the Oslo Municipality.

Visits by families and individuals

The visitor barn is open to the public Tuesday to Friday from 12:00–16:00, as well as the last Sunday of each month from 11:00–16:00. Admission is free for everyone. Entrance via the farmyard.

From around mid-May to mid-October, the barn is closed and the animals are out grazing in the fields around the farm.

School classes and kindergartens

School classes and kindergartens must book in advance.
For bookings: jonas.gjerstad@bym.oslo.kommune.no, phone: +47 479 00 996.

The minimum age is 3 years, to ensure children get the most out of their visit.
